The domain name stays the same
A registrar transfer changes who manages the domain registration. It does not require you to choose a new domain name.
Website hosting does not move automatically
Website files, databases and hosting accounts are separate from the registrar transfer. A hosting migration must be handled separately if you also want to move the website.
DNS should be reviewed, not casually changed
Keeping the intended nameservers and DNS records in place helps avoid unnecessary website or email disruption while the transfer is processed.
Email hosting is separate
Mailboxes and email data do not move just because the domain registrar changes. Preserve the required MX and other DNS records for the email service you use.
